Scott Sheffler has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1991 and practiced law as an associate of the Law Offices of Robert Worman from 1991-1994, practicing in the areas of business and construction litigation. Mr. Sheffler subsequently served as President and corporate counsel to his family's food and paper goods distribution business in central Florida from 1994-2001, during which time he maintained his status as an active member of the Florida Bar. During that time, he was a founding member of the National Distributor Advisory Council for AFC Enterprises, parent company to a number of quick service restaurant chains including, at the time, Popeye's Famous Fried Chicken, Cinnabon and Seattle's Best Coffee, In March 2002, Mr. Sheffler returned to private law practice in the areas of commercial and construction litigation, as well as business organization issues and in 2006, became a partner in the firm now known as Worman & Sheffler, P.A.He has lectured for the National Association of Credit Management of Florida on such topics as Florida's Construction Lien Law and construction payment bond issues, as well as business credit analysis and debt collection. He has also lectured for the National Business Institute at seminars including "Debt Collection From Start to Finish" and "Successfully Collecting Debts and Judgments", and for various business industry groups on such topics as "Common Legal Issues For Small Business" and "Business Organizations in Florida".
