I specialize in the design and specification of commercial, industrial, and residential lighting projects. I worked for a lighting and electrical distributor for 29 years. I now work for one of the largest manufacturers rep agencies in the country. I have had family in the business. My family has over 125 years of combined knowledge in the industry. I have had my hands in very small project to very large projects. My major strengths are in project management, negotiations, logistics, design, budgeting, and I seem to negotiate industry politics well enough. I have spent my time mostly working on projects in Chicago and lately California. I have run projects all over the country as well as abroad. I am a past board member of the local IES chapter. I have served on an advisory council for new products for Osram Sylvania in the past. I am a past judge for the Next Generation of Luminaries competition sponsored by the DOE. I am currently consulting some students at Northwestern in a design competition called the Solar Decathlon that the Department of Energy is sponsoring.
