Project Manager
CurrentMy responsibilities as a Project Manager in the Project Delivery Office at the District of North Vancouver include:- Managing large capital infrastructure projects from the planning and design phase, through execution, monitoring, and closing related to sidewalk, intersection upgrades, active transportation, and culvert projects.- Reviewing civil engineering drawings and ensure compliance with municipal bylaws, MMCD, and best practices- Creating contract documents including Invitations to Tender, Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Qualifications- Coordinating with Consultants, Contractors, and internal and external stakeholders on capital projects to ensure best value to the District - Obtaining Provincial and Federal permits, as well as private property permission to enters. - Leading kick-off meetings, pre-construction meetings, construction meetings, substantial performance walkthroughs, and total performance inspections to resolve issues in the field- Issuing Change Orders, Contemplated Change Orders, Field Memos, Notice to Proceed, Substantial Performance, and Total Performance documentation- Reviewing and processing Requests for Information, invoices, and progress draws- Undertaking site inspections and site visits to ensure construction works conform to the accepted drawings and contract documents, and are minimizing impacts to the public- Creating Stakeholder Management Plans, and Risk Registries and engage with the public to ensure project completion- Utilizing the District’s Project Management Framework and create Project Charters, Business Cases, CASE Meetings, and RACI documents- Completing Lessons Learned Presentations to District Staff and Management- Acting as the Contract Administrator on small to medium projects- Creating field memos, internal memos, project status reports, and reports to council
