When we realized COVID-19 was going to impact our operations, we immediately launched and staffed a multifunctional war room. We coordinated with internal and external stakeholders daily on capacity and emergency change reviews to support immediate turnarounds, ultimately preventing next day’s peak hours from complete meltdown. Our quick and critical decisions enabled us to do the following: • Prioritize capacity above reserves and put all circuits in-use to meet rising customer needs, which included providing record-breaking response times and managed services. • Leverage certified pre-owned equipment that engineers were familiar with regarding configuration and performance and enabled immediate shipping for inventory, preventing over $800K in new equipment costs.• Provision 400+ servers across 19 different product components growing the server capacity over 100%. I thrive on driving large scale, complex digital initiatives across global organizations to increase productivity. On more than one occasion, my engineering teams have significantly optimized team performance by designing self-service, automated systems. Our efficient infrastructures reduce technical debt by 50%, promote product developer engagement, and increase speed to product creation. On a final note, my experiences traveling and working abroad are paramount in informing my approach to ensuring data centers and IT departments operate productivity.
