(Charged-off debt collection)Description: Led and conducted analysis to support increased collections across the entire servicing portfolio, which included credit card, auto deficiency, telecom and medical assets. Sponsored development of SAS-based reporting technologies and aided in the evaluation of portfolio-level remaining value. Responsible for quarterly forecasts of company’s collections provided to shareholders and analysts. Supervised and developed one direct report.Achievements: Optimized and automated the majority of the quarterly forecasting process through SAS and Visual Basic which shrunk completion time from a week to only a few days. Developed new static pools and vintages for use in valuation and tracking of existing portfolio performance. Used existing in-house models to optimize use of WACH/SCNL information (e.g., credit bureau products identifying when debtors apply for credit). Discovered and successfully addressed servicing issue within a department that was causing significant loss in collections and threatened impairment of the portfolio.
