Nearing 25 years experience in the Cabling and Infrastructure industry is not something I like to dwell on too much (!). Whilst experience can be important, equally so is the continual learning process around new and future connectivity technologies.I enjoy helping customers and the consultant community to design and deliver of all kinds of Data Centre and Enterprise projects. From time sensitive and technically critical connectivity solutions for global clients, through to proof of concept projects for Start Ups, I have worked on some of the largest infrastructure projects across the UK and EMEA.My current role allows me help customers evaluate, plan, design, and execute all types of infrastructure connectivity requirements. This includes advanced copper cabling solutions and Fiber Optic architecture that connects our customers to newer 100G, 200G, 400G solutions and beyond.I work with leading system integrators and end users, supporting the various teams within their businesses on various topics. This can range from assisting with responses for tenders and RFP/RFQ engagement through to proving evidential support and documentation around Environment & Sustainability offerings. This includes EPD and HDP Certification that supports evidential environment credentials.Helping our customers to write their infrastructure standards and specification documents is also something I very much enjoy being involved in. I encourage and create ideas and suggestions to be included within their own connected infrastructure standards documentation.As connectivity requirements grow and footprints become smaller, the need to provide manageable and scalable high density environments becomes more important. Working with leading vendors I have been been able to provide leading solutions to some the UK and Europe's most demanding projects.As heat loads increase, some projects call for a more collaborative approach with cabinet/enclosure and technology vendors that the deployment of high-end architecture, and the effective management of high heat loads. As the UK Channel Director for RWL UK my primary role is to ensure that our strategic partners continue to see us as an important as part of their own business success. We assist our customers in all aspects of project delivery, from aiding with initial design & estimating tasks to the final delivery of time critical equipment, both in the UK, Ireland and across EMEA.
