I am a highly motivated ambitious and determined professional with over 10 years experience within the nuclear defence engineering and manufacturing industry.I first completed my apprenticeship as a mechanical pipe fitter and instrument fitter to build and outfit the astute class submarines at bae systems.I worked here for 4 years developing and gaining further knowledge and experience within my trade and background.my next role was a mechanical pipe fitter working for shepley engineers where I worked at sellafield on the build of the nuclear evaporator building putting myself out of my comfort zone to gain more experience and further my knowledge working in different environments.I worked on this until the completion of the contract where I then went travelling and decided to travel and work in Australia.upon returning to the UK I worked for engenda engineering for a brief spell on a shutdown at BASF the chemical plant as a pipefitter where I was responsible for the replacing of redundant pipework. Fabricating and installing new pipe spools working to isometric engineering drawingsI returned to BAE systems where I continued as a mechanical pipe fitter for a further 3 years before I decided to take a new challenge and venture into manufacturing engineering. I worked on build line support doing root cause analysis process improvement and creating engineering manufacturing instructions for operations to follow.I now work as part of the build strategy/build planning team, where my role involves determining what pipe modules are required. Then planning the material and adding them to a balancing activity and work order where these modules can be manufactured and supplied to operations for installation. I am always wanting to push myself learn and develop new and existing skills as well as being open to travelling and relocating in pursuit of new challenges.
