R&D is a main contractor in the construction sector. Their turnover was up to £50M and they undertook residential and healthcare projects up to £70M.Main responsibilities:• • Led and managed the commercial team of up to 12csurveying staff.• Between 2009 and 2011, carried out the project commercial management for a £35M urban regeneration scheme.• Carried out the estimating function for the business.• Formulated, implemented and managed the incentive scheme for the 200+ directly employed labour operatives.• Appointment and management of design consultants.• Preparation and promotion of all contractual notices including claims for extensions of time.• Preparation and promotion of loss and expense submissions. • Ongoing appraisal of risk which has arisen or might arise and which could affect the business/project.

MDL was a main contractor in the construction sector with a turnover of £120M GBP across commercial, industrial, leisure and residential sectors. Projects up to £30M GBP were undertaken.Main responsibilities:• Carried out the Project Surveyor function for projects up to £11M including all procurement, preparation of internal and external valuations, recovery of variations, issue of all contractual notices and preparation of claims for loss and expense. • Responsible for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
