Oversee the application process for all candidates for NC RN and LPN Licensure by Exam through issuance of a license. Ensure the qualifications of the candidates meet the requirements for eligibility, develop positive relationships with the Directors of NC nursing education programs, and provide quality customer service to all integral parties.Enhance the efficiency or the process through organization and transition to online services. Flow charted the entire Licensure by Exam process to find opportunities for improvement. Developed an online application for all possible applicant types (first-time tester, repeater, RN, LPN, in-state graduate, out-of-state, and international nurses). Developed an online submission tool for directors of NC nursing education programs to verify their graduates.Maintain the integrity of the time frames as the number of annual candidates increased from about 3500 to nearly 6500, understanding the sensitivity of the confidential information and the importance of the license to each of the candidates.Interface with different customer types and their interest in the process (applicants, parents, instructors, program directors, hiring agencies, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and their contracted Testing Service, and different government offices such as State and US Representatives and Senators and the Governor's office).Know the policies and procedures involved in the licensure by exam process, and be able to express them professionally to the different customer types (including ineligible candidates).
