About Scott Stap

I have been involved with the automotive and small engine industries for almost 30 years in program management, quality, customer service, technical, and repair positions. I have developed service parts programs, created training programs for employees and end customers, answered technical assistance questions, and multiple driver education programs including Border Patrol, Canadian DND, British Tank Unit, utilizing multiple platforms of vehicles. Military customer and service programs have taken me around the world from the remote plains of Canada, Border of Mexico, the coasts in Virginia, Florida, and California, and all the way to Japan.I have managed multiple programs simultaneously in parts supply forecasting, budgeting, supplier management and customer relationsI enjoy talking to customers and technicians about technical problems. I enjoy working with engineers and prints to solve those technical dilemmas.I love to volunteer and have fun with various charities and learning establishments. Currently I am the lead mentor for both Corunna Robotics teams. 2014 was the rookie year for Corunna Middle School FTC Team (8613). 2014 was also the rookie year for the High School Team 5084. Our FRC team took 66th in the State of Michigan out of 277 teams with our simple but effective "FridgeBot". Corunna made a lot of friends and left an impression that continues to live on with increase enthusiasm in Shiawassee County.The Michigan Bike MS events to raise funds and awareness of Multiple Sclerosis are another way I volunteer. I have been involved for many years and utilize my electronics and Ham Radio skills in SAG vehicle communications (SAG 5).
