In the Division of Information Technology & Science, we help our students become the problem solvers, system designers and technology professionals of the future. Through a combination of classroom experiences led by acclaimed faculty who have extensive professional backgrounds and extensive experience-based projects, students gain the knowledge, skills and experience needed to compete in the professional world. This ITS Division houses undergraduate programs in Computer Science & Innovation, Game Programming, Digital Forensics, Networking & Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Digital Humanities, and Applied Mathematics.

As a Professor of Mathematics at Champlain College, Scott Stevens spent most of his time teaching and improving the math curriculum designed for the radically pragmatic approach to education offered at Champlain College. He authored two textbooks. The first is a combination textbook/workbook titled Introduction to Statistics, Think & Do. The second book was written for a course he developed at Champlain College titled Matrices, Vectors, and 3D Math, A Game Programming Approach with MATLAB. He spent a lot of his time updating his textbooks and the associated online content to accommodate the demands of a world with more technology and more data. He developed courses for the Data Science Program and the online MBA Program. In addition, Scott has authored numerous research articles. Most of these involve the mathematical modeling of fluid dynamics pertaining to intracranial pressure. When he’s not working, there's a good chance he's hanging out with his family, swimming, or trying to catch some kind of fish by whatever means necessary.
