Controller for a Boston based manufacturer’s plant in Bethel Minnesota. Manages a small accounting team and reports directly to the corporate CFO. The plant is a machine shop which makes precise parts for the medical industry.

I worked as a contractor through the companies listed above. I have worked as an interim controller, project manager, Sarbanes-Oxley testing and documentation, and various other assignments.

Controller for the Aftermarket Division with revenue of $230 million. Responsible for budgeting, variance analysis, monthly close and forecast, annual operating plan, strategic plan, general accounting, cost accounting and inventory valuation.• Member of leadership team, which in 2003 achieved 10% revenue growth and 14% operating income growth versus prior year results which were at GDP levels.• Developed division balanced scorecard that tracked financial and operational results against the annual and strategic plans.• Led process reviews of two services businesses to improve revenue recognition methods and reduce time required for the monthly close.• Leader of the Sarbanes-Oxley initiative for the division. Documented controls and developed process improvements.• Set up and developed accounting processes for a start up business and a re-location.• Materials Manager for the Minneapolis distribution center from July 2000 to December 2001.• Initiated review of the legacy materials forecasting program that determined the system was inadequate for our needs.
