Along with serving customers my main roles are assisting the store manager in achieving good profits, managing stock and payroll and merchandising displays. Another important aspect is analysing KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), which will allow us to focus the store and colleagues in the right direction, when comparing the current financial year to the previous with regard to takings, staff levels, stock takes and general miscellaneous costs.

Serving the customers by helping them with their jewellery choices, advising on care and cleaning and increasing sales with add on sales. All assistants at F. Hinds are also able to change the batteries in watches and remove links from links from chains.

Assisting customers with furniture and fabric choices, merchandising within the store and arranging Interest Free Credit for purchases.

Responsible for admitting customers to the ice rink and other facilities, handling cash and dealing with customer concerns. I was also responsible for group bookings such as children's birthday parties. Also many back office jobs such as typing using Microsoft Word, filing, phone answering and cashing up.

Serving customers at the checkout, handling large amounts of cash and providing excellent customer service.
