My role combined on the job learning with real life developing and testing experience. I worked in multiple Android apps as both a tester and a developer and found that I really enjoyed the excitement of creating something new as a developer. Key responsibilities:• Using my newly learned skills in HTML and CSS I had to be able to complete tests which were designed to see if you could make the web pages required in the course. As I enjoyed working with HTML and CSS I got to know the people in my stage by helping them with their code and work. • Worked as part of a team to utilise my Java skills on an internal project which was to create a system to be used in the company for signing in and out of the building. I enjoyed working as part of a team to deliver a successful project. The main part that I had on the project was working on the timeout section for when the screen for resetting it for the next person to use.• Offered a great opportunity to join an internal Android team in the making as a tester. I did some reading up on testing tools and with the support of the lead tester I picked up some experience in this area. • Worked as a developer on a fitness tracking app for Burnley Council where I set up the maps using Google API and Maps API in addition to setting the work flow and finally doing the espresso testing. • Handled the teaching of espresso and scrums for some projects.I have also participated in training for Blue Prism, Robotics automation development is something that I find interesting, because in my apprenticeship I picked up some experience in Espresso which involves work flows and automating actions.I also have had a bit of training with UIPath which is another piece of software used in RPA development. The training for that was quite good and after finishing that I now am interested in learning more about different RPA software.
