Currently serving as as an Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) for six Bureaus within the Department of State, Cybersecurity Operations. The role provides risk recommendations to the Authorizing Official (who is the Chief Information Officer) on whether a system has met Departmental and NIST standards to operate in production. For the Bureaus that I represent, I provide authoritative technical support and security consultation and oversight over the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF). This includes review and approval of deliverables including: security categorization, security control baseline selection, system security plan, security assessment cost estimates, security assessment plan, security assessment report, pre and post-remediation security assessment findings, risk assessment calculations, and security authorization recommendations.
