Tasked with leading Transformation efforts across the Supply Chain, including both direct and indirect Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, and Planning. I managed 2 direct reports, reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain. The total Spend under review was $2B. During this time, I developed, kicked off, and established the supply chain transformation initiative. We kicked off a ground up transformation engaging frontline associates’ ideas, building an entrepreneurial spirit of accountability, communication and savings. Decreased costs and improved efficiencies saving >$34 M in 9 months, exceeding goal by $9 M, $40M by year end.

As Senior Manager in Procurement, I was responsible for all site buyers and MRO warehouses, overseeing >$160M of inventory, tactical spending, as well as assigned capital project buying. I reported to the VP of Procurement, led 22 encompassing site buyers, MRO, Process Chemicals, MRO Inventory, Repairable Spares, Corporate Services, Warehouse Operations, and Asset Recovery. One of my strategic moves was to embed the site buyers internally, integrating them into operations as a beneficial resource, increasing communication and adherence to bid guidelines, and ultimately increasing buyer bid events to >1600 annually, increasing savings 28% YoY. We also reduced MRO Inventory SKU’s 7%, while continuing inventory reduction. We transitioned MRO warehouses to RFID, increasing inventory accuracy and accessibility to front line. Finally, we integrated LA Procurement Ops ($170M spend), standardizing processes, increasing efficiencies, and reducing FTEs.

In this 4-year role, I strategically sourced a $650M spend and managed a team of 9. A few statistics include:• Delivered >$71M in savings over 4 years through projects and negotiations.• Increased Weighted Average Payment Terms from 52.6 days to 87.2 days.• Slashed MRO inventory by 12%.• Changed key bidding processes enhancing visibility and savings.• Negotiated the long-term contract with the largest vendor, saving $6.2 Million.• Coached team and mentored individuals and completing 25+ Strategic Sourcing projects annually.I also merged the Procurement team, establishing a synergistic single organization. In addition, I fostered productive relationships with all vendors, saving millions of dollars. Lastly, I strategized with internal and external teams to save costs.

During this year, I was in charge of Sulfuric Acid Sales ($10M revenue) and Minor Raw Material Procurement ($60 Million spend). I increased Sulfuric Acid sales by 17% YoY, adding $2M in revenue and developed the strategy for critical raw material, saving $2.2 M annually. I also oversaw Integration of Raw Material and Sulfuric Acid, producing $4M in synergy during acquisition.

Responsible for procuring all Marine Vessels for Mosaic’s Supply Chain Worldwide, including PhosChem. I negotiated $160M per year in ocean freight contracts and I saved $4.7M in first year through positional savings. I oversaw the negotiation of a 10-year phosphate rock freight agreement. I also coordinated all container and freight forwarding activities. In more international detail, I reduced the Brazil billing cycle from 17 to a 5-day average. I negotiated a long term Far East freight contract, saving $1.5M over 18 months. I also instituted an 18 ship Brazil freight contract, saving $2.7M over 36 months.
