Scott is an environmental scientist with more than 25 years of technical and scientific experience in ecological risk assessment both in Canada and the United States. Some of my key roles and experience are listed below:- A decade+ of conducting pesticide ecological risk assessments for the purposes of registration, re-registration in Canada and the United States- Developing a science-based approach to evaluating crop protection products for potential impacts to Endangered Species nationally and in support of individual species- Providing expert scientific and technical support to registrants, farmers associations, and CropLife America (ESPSG and ESIMT)- Assisting registrants in their dealings with regulatory agencies- Developing risk assessment submissions and representation for registrants in South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil)- Conducting contaminated sites risk assessments (US CERCLA - Superfund; Canadian Federal and Provincial; private industry)- Expert in the development of National Environmental Quality Guidelines- Expert in the design and management of databases, geographic information systems (GIS) software and techniques- Providing mentoring, publishing opportunities, and training to junior and intermediate ecological risk assessors
