I am the former Director of the Graduate Tax Program at Bentley University and a current professor teaching state & local tax, international tax, corporate tax, multijurisdictional tax, tax practice and procedure, taxation of property transactions, graduate business law, and undergraduate business law open to adjunct faculty positions or training coordinator opportunities with Departments of Revenue, firms, and tax departments. Before joining Bentley University I was the New England Managing Tax Partner for a national accounting firm, and a Deloitte Multistate Tax Partner. In professional service firms, I have trained new staff in various venues. These trainings included several years of training programs at Deloitte, leading the regional tax practice of a national accounting firm, teaching state corporate income tax at the MSCPA and TEI, and training state revenue agencies in the conduct of the examination of sophisticated state income tax planning strategies, including the associated transfer pricing aspects of legal entity structures. Although my career included numerous areas of tax, my most recent technical focus included tax due diligence, state tax compliance, refund review, nexus analysis, entity restructuring, and state tax controversy. That controversy experience includes examinations and administrative appeals in numerous states with a particular focus on Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. My entity restructuring experience includes the implementation of over 70 multistate tax projects for Office of the Chairman clients and other Fortune 500 clients.
Listed skills include Tax, Corporate Tax, Due Diligence, Income Tax, and 34 others.
