Who demonstrates a positive attitude with a passion for the craft and real love for the Hairdressing Industry and Education sector.I have been in the Hairdressing Industry for 20 years since I left school and joined college. Leaving with all the relevant NVQ's & Diplomas I joined a leading city centre salon(Aveda). This salon and company distilled me with a wealth of great knowledge and skills. After working in the salon for a number of years and attending lots of training sessions with their Education team and at their Academy, I found a passion for Education and that lead to me studying the PGCE Degree. I completed the units I needed I then went on to work for a training provider, who successfully secured Welsh Government funding to be able to provide training in the hair sector. I helped them set up their Hairdressing Department and opened two commercial salons that the students would bring family/friends in to gain experience and progress throughout their NVQ's. This was a fantastic experience and gave me all the relevant teaching, presenting and management knowledge. This lead me on a fantastic 10 year journey with the beautiful brand milk_shake as the Colour Ambassador for the UK & Ireland, a great 10 years that gave me so much knowledge, respect for education and helped me progress into my current role as Head of Creative Education within the luxury brand REF Stockholm.I am very passionate about Training and Education and I love motivating salons/stylists.Learning is all about having fun and being creative.
