About Scott Tilton

Co-founder and Executive Director of the New Orleans Foundation for Francophone Cultures (Nous), a cultural institute that promotes Louisiana's heritage cultures and minority language communities across the United States. Former public sector consultant at Ernst & Young France. I also launched and spearheaded the initiative that saw Louisiana become the first U.S. state join the International Organization of the Francophonie in 2018.     - Set up the New Orleans Foundation for Francophone Cultures (Nous), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural institute to promote Louisiana’s heritage cultures (including Cadien, Creole, and Indigenous identifying communities) and minority language rights across the United States.- Oversee Nous’s successful fundraising campaigns and grant applications, raising $650,000+ in three years.- Established partnerships with high-level institutions such as the global French-language TV station, TV5Monde; the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Fulbright France; and other partners in Louisiana and globally.- Curated three exhibitions, The Louisianais.e (launched October 2022), French & Creole Louisiana: 300 Years of History (launched March 2023), and Haiti-Louisiana: Tides of Freedom (launched January 2024 and displayed at the United Nations).- Produced six short films and documentaries in Louisiana French and Creole, which have been aired on TV5Monde, PBS, and were featured at the New Orleans French Film Festival, Cinemania Film Festival in Montreal, and the Cannes Film Festival.- Awarded a prestigious Library of Congress grant and fellowship to document Louisiana’s French and Creole-language music, which will result in an original album and publication that will be made available in the library’s permanent archives.- Created Le Lab accelerator program for cultural keepers, raising $120,000 for entrepreneurs to create businesses and nonprofits.- Launched the first regional Fulbright program in the United States between the Nous Foundation and Fulbright France.
