Updating policies, emergency response plans, site maps, safety data sheets, and… Show more Develops, revises, reviews, and implements all applicable legislation (Federal, Provincial, and Municipal) that applies to the company such as the Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Industrial Regs, various municipal bylaws, and others. Legislation is discussed with managers and supervisors to ensure understanding of what is expected and followed appropriately. Updating policies, emergency response plans, site maps, safety data sheets, and working with all personnel to ensure the company is maintained in an up to date fashion.Conducting daily onsite inspections and communicating with personnel changes that need to occur. Inspections may also be completed with government agencies such as the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, Health Canada, and Transport Canada. If orders are issued, they are addressed immediately and once completed, are reported to the applicable agency with documentation and pictures if necessary. Preparing hazardous waste for outgoing shipment with reliable hazardous waste companies and reporting on HWIN. Hazardous waste management is recorded accordingly, and kept on file in an organized manner.Development and initiation of ISO 9001:2015 Standard within the company, and conducting annual ISO 9001:2015 internal audits with various department heads to ensure the practices and procedures of the Quality Management System are being met as per the ISO standard and company expectations. Development of a new Quality Policy Manual completed and communicated with ISO Coordinators.Ensuring all employees have necessary training completed and renewed as needed. Training documentation is recorded and filed appropriately. Works with the Joint Health and Safety Committee as a certified member (Parts 1 and 2) and will lead JHSC during monthly inspections and quarterly meetings. Show less
