About Scott Torres

With over five years of software engineering experience at Twilio & Roblox, I am passionate about creating innovative and scalable solutions for voice automation and payments. As a senior software engineer, I lead the engineering effort for Twilio , a product that allows customers to accept payments over the phone securely and easily.In addition to developing and maintaining high-quality code in Java, I also collaborate with product, support, and sales teams to balance engineering tasks and customer-facing features, meet the needs of our largest clients, and resolve technical issues. Some of my major accomplishments include helping to increase the transaction volume by 10x and monetizing our newest product. I also greatly enjoy serving as a mentor to new Hatch apprentices, sharing my knowledge and experience that I've gained over the past four years.
