I work as part of the Events Team organising peak time shows for school holiday periods, including Halloween, Easter, the half term Pirate show, and Christmas. I was in charge of 5 grottos at Christmas and choreographed sword fights both at Halloween and for the Pirate show as well as performing and planning the sound and lighting, and writing risk assessments. I also host birthday parties and run the Laser Combat parties. In term time I do educational tours of the farm and talks for schools as well as feeding and caring for the animals.

I performed the Bowman Show and talk plus ran ‘Have a Go’ archery at Mary Arden’s Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle.During the Christmas season I also worked at Coombe Abbey as a character actor.

My role included roaming the castle grounds in costume interacting with guests and answering their questions; marshalling the various shows including Horrible Histories and Flight of the Eagles; being part of the team winding the trebuchet. I also assisted with school visits and any other operational requirements.At Halloween I performed as part of the scare attractions.I also taught sword fighting in the Knights Village and demonstrated longbow archery.

During my long term work experience at The Knights of Middle England I worked as part of a team to safely deliver experience days and perform in shows for the general public as well as TV, film and promotion work. This included liaising with both internal team members and external contacts to provide exceptional customer service ensuring clients received the best experience possible. Due to the high risk nature of the activities it was essential that all members of the team were aware of each other, were on hand to assist when necessary and followed strict safety procedures to ensure the safety of all involved. I also learnt the importance of health and safety in a dangerous environment, time management and planning in the build-up to live performances, organisational and motivational skills to direct and control a small team of individuals and the ability to hold and captivate both large crowds and smaller corporate clients. I was also jointly responsible for the care of the horses in the yard, including all the usual tasks involved with their health and welbeing.
