Producing "A Good Dance. The Lord of Wonders". A photography and film project documenting the indigenous dance culture in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The project started in the cultural heart of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, GTO not far from Santiago Queretaro, the birthplace of Aztec dance. The project has the support of the Director of Culture and Traditions in San Miguel de Allende, GTO, “el Profesor” Acacio Martinez Rodriguez, and the blessings of General Manuel Cabrera leader of the General Table of the Lord of Wonders of Santiago Queretaro."A Good Dance" refers to the groups of dancers who broke free from Catholicism after the Mexican Revolution. This new dance would serve to preserve the cultural indigenous dances and thereby preserve the culture of Central Mexico's original people. Rather than trying to overcome or destroy Catholicism, the newly formed groups known as Dance Tables found common ground with Catholicism in their dances while maintaining the dancers' cultural heritage. This is a good dance. A dance toward unification, not division.
