In my current role, I focus on the working with University stakeholders to identify program needs and insure that projects progress through the design and construction process. Working with UW CALS and Student Affairs on large scale framework plans. L&S Levy Hall L&S Biology Building Libraries Collection Preservation Facility Coordination with WHS and consultation with design teams working on historic campus buildings Prior to work in higher education, I focused on a variety of preservation projects that have involved the restoration of historic facades – many featuring masonry and/or terra cotta materials, window repair and appropriate replacement, contemporary system integration, and contextual design interventions. I listen carefully to client goals and apply them as part of the overall strategy for retaining as much of a building’s historic fabric as possible. My approach achieves a unique balance between preservation of historic elements and modernization/adaptation of a building for continued or renewed use.
