I am a recent graduate from Heriot-Watt University, where I achieved a First-Class MEng degree in Software Engineering with an average of 84.25% across all courses.In the past year I also gained 6 months experience working as a full-time Software Engineering intern at Edinburgh Airport. Over my internship I have developed a strong passion for building Full-Stack web applications, primarily using React with TypeScript, MySQL and GCP. While at the airport I developed new features and performed maintenance on existing features for their E-Commerce platform AirportX, as well as starting development on a new SaaS product.Despite many of my internship projects being individual, I was still able to further develop my communication skills taking part in weekly SCRUM meetings, many brainstorming and pair programming sessions, as well as presenting my work to leadership teams and external clients. I love working in collaborative environments like these where I can work as part of a wider team to try to create new innovative solutions to complex problems.I am still discovering what the exact path is for my career, but my main overall goal is to be able to work on software projects which have a positive real-world impact, improving the lives of both the customer/client as well as society as a whole.
