Mr. Van Cleave has been the key financial manager for many complex space programs, ground programs, and advanced studies. He has over 25 years of experience in DoD financial management and acquisition support. Most of the programs have had multiple mission partners throughout the DoD and government portfolio. Mr. Van Cleave’s programs have been in the areas of Space Range System Automation, Directed Energy (DE), Offensive Counter Space (OCS), Defensive Counter Space (DCS), and Space Situation Awareness (SSA, now SDA). He has been involved in every aspect of cradle to grave financial management and program control functions of managing space acquisition programs. He has managed Air Force Sustainment, Research & Development, and Procurement funded programs. He has also managed USSF, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Army, DARPA, and other DoD agency funding. His experience and past performance has allowed him to advise top government officials and program managers of critical budget execution decisions.
