For the majority of Australians, superannuation forms the absolute backbone of their retirement savings plan. As a regional manager in Colonial First State’s Corporate Super division, my role is to help employers implement compelling corporate super packages that will give their people the solid foundations they need to build this wealth. Our industry is dynamic, regularly changing and throwing up challenges for us to navigate in areas such as legislation, regulation and administration. I enjoy thinking about these demands and responding with strategies that enable us to continue delivering great outcomes for our clients. As a regional manager at CFS, I lead a team of business development managers and relationship managers who are responsible for nurturing client relationships and fostering new opportunities for our business.Much of my time is spent working in partnership with the team, assisting them in their activities and keeping them focused on our core objectives and targets. I draw on my friendly and relaxed nature to foster an environment of open dialogue and collaboration, where team members feel supported and are encouraged to put forward ideas and challenge the status quo. A focused professional, I’m dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in all my activities, whether it be working with employers, their staff, consultants and advisers or our internal stakeholders. I am always on the look out to improve the way we do things and the way we engage our key stakeholders.My experience in the superannuation industry spans more than 20 years in product, relationship management and strategy roles with organisations including AXA, Aviva, MLC and – for the last 10 years – the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Colonial First State.
