Working as part of the Group Finance Reporting Centre - Accounting Services team. I am responsible for the management of financial reporting processes for subsidiaries of L&G group including Finovation Limited, Legal and General Partnership Holdings Limited, Digital Solutions, Holding Companies & Legal and General Partnership Services Limited. This includes management of quarterly financial reporting to group timetable, preparation of statutory accounts to FRS101 and management of these through the external audit process, regulatory reporting such as Solvency II, FCA RMAR & tax reporting. As well as contributing to key projects and continuous process improvements.

Managing a direct expense base of £50m for the Savings division. Responsible for driving the delivery of monthly expense processes to ensure ledger close is complete and accurate. Managing the divisional expenses in line with targets set and measured by the divisional scorecard. Using management accounting and financial control techniques to challenge the business and its leadership team to keep costs under control.Ensuring delivery of monthly MI and reporting for the division in line with Group Performance deadlines.Supporting the delivery of projects that are fundamental to divisional and group strategy, including transformation, the sale of the business and segmenting the balance sheet.Successfully delivering the divisional quarterly expense and FTE forecasts in line with business objectives and timetables.Providing a pro-active business partnering service and cost management support to key stakeholders across the business.

Producing analysis / trend MI for senior management meetings to aid decision making and strategic planning.Managing the production, analysis and provision of supporting business commentary on current and projected direct expenses and FTE positions, highlighting trends and risks against Forecast and BudgetResponsible for the accurate and fair allocation of all relevant costs across Legal and General.Managing the production of monthly unit cost analysis, highlighting trends and risks.Working independently to develop relationships and work with senior management to help them understand financial perspectives, enabling the business to adopt a proactive and innovative role in financial and commercial matters, linking to strategic objective of division.Maintaining and monitoring robust accounting standards, policies and financial controls across the team to ensure compliance with the Group Standards, statutory requirements and the control frameworkTaking ownership of the quarterly expense forecast, playing a leading role in the annual expense plan and providing input to the medium- and long-term financial strategy.

Leading a small reporting team that produces and distributes several operational reports. Working as a business partner to the operational services and finance areas providing monthly KPI's and management information to help manage costs and highlight risks. Also involved in forecasting and budgeting processes on a quarterly and annual basis.

Using excel to produce, develop and maintain a suite of operational finance reports for senior management and directors including KPI scorecard, Risk Reports, Committee Packs, Cost Centre reporting. Delivering to monthly timetable and presenting at the meetings.Ran a LEAN driver forum to drive efficiency savings and created a capacity planning model for the area.Carried out monthly financial accounting for Structured Products, calculating accrued income, maintaining lead schedules, providing commentary on monthly movements.Responsible for strike payment reconciliations for Structured Investment Products, calculating commission & plan manager charges due to agents.Responsible for calculating LIBOR based SWAP payments and liaising with investment banksSet the above processes up on HSBC net and developed checklists to aid management sign off. Responsible for cross training.Completing Daily Reconciliations for SIPP products working as part of a small team and with operational areas to resolve differences. Contributing to daily client money funding calculation, adhering to CASS 7 rules.
