- Conducted structural FE analysis on a variety of military combat vehicle structures, subsystems, and components subjected to static, vibration, and shock environments.- Authored detailed reports for the product design team related to product performance with recommendations for mass optimization and design improvement.

- Lead engineer for an internal team of engineers, managing projects related to CAE methods and tool development for body and chassis structures.- Extensive experience in test correlation and CAE problem solving related to strength and durability product issues, particularly those involving vibration and dynamic effects.- Engineering project manager for software developed internally within General Motors to assist in FE model generation for CAE, helping reduce modeling time for vehicle models from weeks to hours.- Extensive CAE tool development and process automation experience using Unix shell scripting, Tcl/Tk, and Fortran programming. For example, I helped develop a tool to conduct large scale transient fatigue analysis for a vehicle subjected to complete durability test schedules, allowing this type of analysis to be done practically for the first time.- Awarded six internal Record of Inventions from General Motors as co-author:- Three for software tools related to automated FE connections.- A new mesh independent FE modeling technique for spot welds, allowing entire vehicle bodies to be welded in less than a minute.- A method and tool for identifying low stiffness areas on automotive panels which helped eliminate lab testing and improve quality.- A hexagon stiffening feature for body panels.- Technology manager for all product engineering CAE structural modeling activities.

- Managed projects for component and subsystem testing of automotive body and chassis structures. These projects involved product validation as well as developing new test methodologies.- Project manager for technology team to develop procedures for automotive body related structural testing.

Cooperative student in powertrain manufacturing. Worked on statistical control capability studies in gear, shaft, and differential manufacturing for Saturn transmissions.
