About Scott Weber
Scott is the President and CEO of Peaceinvest, a global investment company headquartered in Geneva. He is driven to transform the world of finance into a powerful instrument for positive change. After a career spanning two decades in the United Nations and in Peacebuilding, Scott has shifted his focus to the financial sector. This transition underscores his commitment to harnessing finance as a dynamic force for peace and more inclusive societies. His mission is clear: to channel capital towards initiatives that yield financial returns and address the most pressing global challenges of our time. From 2005-2023, Scott served as Director-General and then President of Interpeace, the International Organization for Peacebuilding. Under his leadership, Interpeace greatly expanded its reach, supporting locally-led peacebuilding, reconciliation and governance initiatives in countries all over the world. Scott believes strongly in education as a means to shape young generations of global citizens and a more peaceful and inclusive world. In his spare time, he works with schools and universities to integrate Peace Education into their teaching practices and curricula. Scott is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a network of 34,000 CEOs and Chairs of Boards around the world (www.ypo.org) and its Peace Action Nework. In recognition of his record of professional accomplishments, his commitment to society and his potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world through his leadership, Scott was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Economics and Russian from Georgetown University and Certificates of Executive Education in Leadership from Harvard University’s JFK School of Government, Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and from the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University.
