About Scott Weber

I am a Professor and Chair of the BYU Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology where I teach courses in Molecular Biology, Immunology, and Flow Cytometry. My research team works to improve the immune response to cancer, Alzheimer's disease, autoimmune disease, addiction, and asthma. I am also the Associate Director of the BYU Simmons Center for Cancer Research where I facilitate the selection of student fellowships that provide critical training and discoveries in our fight against cancer.My undergraduate and master degrees are from BYU and my Ph.D. is from the University of Illinois. Prior to returning to BYU, I was a Post Doctoral Fellow and Research Instructor in the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine.
