As a certified Predix developer I write software applications for GE's Digital business. A lot of my efforts are around visualizing data from machines in factories and the industrial internet of things.

GE Healthcare Responsible for long-term strategy for Business Process Management Suites (BPMS) and the Pega PRPC (Java/Web based BPMS) Center of Excellence. Partner with multiple CIOs that are considering a BPMS or are implementing a BPMS solution. Technical Lead for the move of BPM applications to the cloud. • Implemented a BPM platform COE to increase code re-use and compliance. • Created guidelines and best practices for developers for BPM platform. • Created a stable BPM platform running at 99% uptime. • Architected new security model for BPM platform to reduce complexity.

GE Power & Water Responsible for launching new applications using Pega PRPC. Implemented new system environments essential for the success of BPMS. Worked with customers, development team leads and development teams to implement best practices, lessons learned and reuse. Researched new technologies. Migrated PRPC 5.x applications to PRPC 6.2. • Implemented a new dedicated server environment for PRPC 6.2. • Launched 3 new BPMS applications. • Implemented the Pega Project Management and Test Management frameworks for PRPC.

GE Corporate – Employee Services GroupDeveloped strategic initiatives for implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) within the Employee Services Group. Designed associated web services. Presented different SOA topics to developers and management. • Evaluating new SOA technologies from PeopleSoft ERP that will enable the Employee Services Group to simplify integration with other systems. • Implemented Java Web Services to reduce reliance on exposing database to other applications. • Responsible for educating our functional users on different technologies. Develop demos, Wikis and use videoconferences to share IT strategies and technologies. The goal is to have a more technically savvy functional team. • Served as Project Manager for the Beneficiaries On-line project that was delivered on time and on budget. Responsible for ensuring conformance with company, Sarbanes-Oxley and generally accepted IT methodologies. The project enables employees to manage all of the beneficiaries and designations on-line.

Implemented company SOA initiatives as a consultant at Priority Health. The position required the architecting and developing of web services and gathering of requirements from functional users. • Combining disparate databases (Oracle) to create a new system with services (Java, JAX-WS) exposed. The new system has a web front-end (Ruby on Rails, AJAX, HTML and Javascript). The system contains all health care providers for Priority Health.

Responsible for technical architecture and implementation.

Provided 24x7 support for business critical applications for stamping and assembly plants. • Gathered requirements and designed the software architecture to be used to create a parts forecasting system (Java/J2EE and misc. web technologies running on Apache and WebSphere) to be used by all Chrysler stamping plants. • Release of new Linux based servers running Apache and Tomcat for our web-based reporting systems (Java/J2EE, Ant and misc. web technologies). • Production Data Recording System (Visual Basic 6) that decreased the amount of maintenance needed to maintain the system by 15-percent. • Automated count sending process (Visual Basic 6) for stamping presses to Production Data Recording System, cutting time spent entering data in half. • Implemented automated messaging system for Hi-Lo drivers alerting them when stamping presses were without steel, reducing labor costs by a third. • Create new IT architecture roadmap to be used for all stamping plants.

Provided 24x7 support for a mission critical application. Responsible for mentoring other developers in the program design, best practices and the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Acted as the Sarbanes-Oxley assessor for the Timekeeping Systems group. Led the team that accomplished the following goals and objectives: • Using Java/J2EE created a non-specific system to synchronize information between the PeopleSoft ERP system and the company’s hourly timekeeping system, thereby increasing uptime from 60-percent to 99-percent. • Designed and developed an application to hold developers information and skill sets using Ruby on Rails. The application allowed developers to look for help by querying skill sets. • Served as Technical Lead for the salaried timekeeping system, eSTRS, a web application (Java/J2EE, Struts, Ant and misc. web technologies running on Apache and WebSphere) that was used to replace an existing client server application, and was rolled out to 30,000 employees, cutting maintenance costs by over 50-percent. • Maintained and added new functionality to an hourly employee information web application (Java/J2EE, Struts, Ant and misc. web technologies utilizing Apache and WebSphere) on a Linux server. Supporting over 100,000 users, the system averaged over 7000 hits per day.

Relocated to Stuttgart, Germany to work on a $120 million PeopleSoft ERP installation for DaimlerChrysler operations in Europe. Worked along side customers in redefining processes that delivered a complete solution, created prototypes, and designed and customized Java-based modules that interfaced with PeopleSoft ERP. Key accomplishments included: • Created classes (Java/J2EE and JCE) to interface with LDAP and PeopleSoft ERP. The solution replaced the standard security with the new classes that were called from PeopleSoft ERP. These new classes greatly increased the strength of security. • Designed and developed multiple web services (XML-RPC) to interface with the company portal. • Created a secure on-line system (Java/J2EE and misc. web technologies) that allowed employees to view their own pay stub. • Developed an on-line job application (PeopleTools) used by external applicants for DaimlerChrysler European operations, allowing applicant information to be saved to the PeopleSoft ERP system. • Designed and developed a PeopleSoft manager delegation module (Java/J2EE and misc. web technologies) that allowed supervisors to delegate authority to others in the event of vacations or emergencies.

Responsible for gathering specifications from customers and implementing HR strategies within PeopleSoft ERP. Key accomplishments included: • Lead Developer in developing and implementing the 5000-plus-user merit web application (Java/J2EE and misc. web technologies running on Apache and WebSphere) that replaced Excel spreadsheets as the method for approving merit raises. Use of the new system cut labor for the merit process by 95-percent. User survey responses in the category of product functionality and usability were overwhelmingly positive with a high percentage of completed surveys. • Assisted in creating framework for Enterprise Wide Data (EWD), a system that collected data from all DaimlerChrysler divisions, and consisting of more than 400,000 employees worldwide. • Served as IT Technical Lead for the successful launch and implementation of PeopleSoft ERP in Mexico. • Served as IT Technical Lead for the successful launch and implementation of PeopleSoft ERP for Mercedes-Benz USA in Connecticut.

Primary responsibilities included designing web pages and integrating office applications within PeopleSoft ERP at Chrysler Corporation. • Implemented Visual Basic-based linking and embedding technology, reducing complexity of reports within PeopleSoft ERP. • Designed, developed and implemented an on-line application (Perl CGI running on Apache) for external job applicants applying for jobs in the U.S..

Responsible for creating and implementing internal applications for the company. • Implemented PeopleSoft ERP with MS SQL Server. • Created internal applications such as company directory services, training catalog database and E-Tests (Visual Basic 4) for our training center.
