In 2008 was asked to help restructure the Asian Finance and Operations team, start to implement SAP and make sure that 2008 financial statements were accurate and pass the year end audit. Also, implement financial models to grow business and profitability. After coming back from China as interim CFO/Finance Director, I was promoted to North American Controller and given two other divisions with total sales over $300 million. Managed a team of 41 employees and 20 facilities.

Ensured that the Chinese inks businesses, Singapore and Malaysia produced 2008 year end accounts in a timely and accurate manner. This included making sure that each country passed the external audit and was done within the group’s timetable and no issues came from the audit.Implemented centralization for all back office functions including Finance, HR, Administration, Purchasing and Logistics in China. The centralization was for 5 divisions in China and Singapore and included hiring/downsizing of personnel. Lead corporate I.T. and local I.T. personnel to develop a plan to implement Euro SAP in China. This included analyzing cost and benefits and needs, establishing project team, timeline and getting board approval. SAP was installed on time and on Budget.Liquidated the legal entity in Singapore and set-up a branch of Malaysia. Transition the Singapore sales operation to Shanghai. Ensured that the Asian entities had adequate funding in place and manage the external loans and liaise with group CFO to maintain or increase funding at needed. Implemented latest HFM chart of accounts, monthly reporting is in line and a system created to produce requested monthly financial and statistical information.Worked with Group Treasury to identify foreign exchange flows and exposures and identify appropriate processes to improve/manage foreign exchange flows
