Lead all Actuarial and Underwriting teams at Security Health Plan. Including pricing of Individual Exchange, Small Group, Large Group fully insured, level funded, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Medicare Supplement products. I am also responsible for trend development, product forecasting, reserving, underwriting, budgeting, reinsurance analysis, and risk revenue analysis.

Led a team of actuarial professionals responsible for all aspects of individual health insurance product pricing for on and off the exchange. Worked with team of actuaries responsible for analysis of the PPACA risk adjustment and reinsurance parameters to determine the impact on individual health insurance products. Worked with product teams, and health plan leadership to develop Individual Exchange plan designs and pricing.

Led a team of actuaries responsible for pricing, product development and reserving for individual health products. Also led a team of actuaries that developed and implemented underwriting rules and standards which allowed automation of the new business underwriting process.

Served as the first actuary for American Medical Security. Developed and led an actuarial department of over 30 professionals that helped grow the company to membership of over 800,000 lives. Developed and priced individual, small and large group health insurance, dental, life, disability. Also was involved in creating a small group self funded product.
