Scott Whitehead is a Engineering Manager at Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing at Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing. Colleagues describe them as "I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Scott since August 2009. Any words of commendation I have for him fall short of what he has truly earned. Scott came to Germain Racing as a race crew engineer in 2009. As such he worked under great pressure making critical calculations and recommendations under extreme time pressure. I was fortunate to work side by side with him during many, many races and saw firsthand his accuracy and grace under pressure. Scott then transitioned to working in the race shop. Scott played a critical role in the decisions involved in the build and set-up of the race cars. He established quality control programs to track the useful life of all the parts we installed on the race cars. Through his efforts Germain Racing had virtually no parts failures over the course of almost 400 races that could have arguably been prevented. In addition to the week to week responsibilities, Scott was the lead engineer for all track and wind tunnel testing. His organizational skills insured that we were able to gain maximum utilization of what was very expensive time (as much as $4000 per hour). Beyond the race car, Scott managed many of our IT needs throughout the shop and for the hauler. On a personal level, Scott’s conduct was exemplary. He was generally the person who turned on the lights in the mornings and turned them off at night. He was simply always there. Over the course of almost twelve years there was never an occasion when Scott did not conduct himself courteously and professionally. I highly recommend Scott for any position that he seeks and I know without doubt that he will excel. If I ever had the opportunity to rehire Scott, I would without hesitation.
