In my current role, I am responsible for the installations of temporary substations & SIDU’S ranging from 3000A-1600A, permits to work, complex isolations, switching schedules, CP appointments, ladder racking, 400mm AWA singles, 300mm AWA singles, and final connections into 11kv-230v substations (LV Chamber). I have extensive experience in installing temporary generator sets and power supplies for tower cranes.I ensure compliance around site safety procedures, documentation and conduct team briefings of the new safe systems of work. I also lead, coordinate and manage electrical supervisor’s and their teams.In my previous experience as an Electrician in the petrochemical industry, I was responsible for installing and maintaining electrical equipment in hazardous areas, including containment systems such as perforated tray, unistrut, and ladder racking. I have experience with installing power, communication, and intrinsically safe circuits within hazardous areas and conducting ATEX inspections, reports and repairs. Additionally, I was responsible for installing and maintaining control panels for hydrocarbon detection, automated/manual Rotork valves, tank gauging, and tank high-level alarm panels tied into emergency shut-down pipeline valves.I have experience in fault finding on various systems such as Pipeline Fuel injection systems, ESD systems, Electronic valves, Tank gauging, and infrared fire detection systems for ethanol bays. Furthermore, I have experience with the installation of submersible dock pumps and control panels for main firefighting pipeline/equipment for Oil terminals. Lastly, I was responsible for adhering to Compliance around the DSEAR regulations to ensure the safe management of dangerous/explosive substances in the workplace. Overall, I have comprehensive experience in maintaining electrical systems and equipment in hazardous areas and temporary installations for enabling works in Nuclear.
