    The role is diverse and encompasses providing leadership and strategic direction for Australia’s largest sailing club which was formed in 1922. As a premier hospitality organisation the operation includes five dining options, four unique bars, an event business, a fleet of 260 electronic gaming machines, a range of entertainment and a dinghy sailing operation. Apart from driving corporate governance and undertaking the Company Secretarial function, other key aspects include driving financial performance, risk management, market profiling, due diligence considerations and implementing strategies developed in conjunction with the Board of Directors. Project management is a key responsibility with the scope including technology solutions, property development, asset management and more. Over the years I have overseen numerous construction and refurbishments which have been undertaken in a live trading environment including substructure engineering solutions, restaurant refits, gaming room reconfigurations and more recently the transformational $20M Centenary Project . I am also responsible for providing direction, leadership and team building across the business with any employee headcount averaging 200 people. As a leading not for profit, engagement with the community and successful communication strategies are key pillars as is representing the organisation across a diverse group of stakeholders ranging from members to community groups to regulators to politicians and managing conflicting expectations.
