The problem is, most companies don’t know why and how they’re overpaying; 90% of all experience modification factors are either miscalculated or mismanaged, and 80% of audits contain costly errors that could have been avoided. Through our unique process, I have been successful in helping businesses significantly reduce their experience modification factors saving thousands of dollars in work comp premium. I review audits for costly errors, and have been successful at going back to previous companies to recoup those overpayments on behalf of our insureds. I look over review classifications to make sure that businesses are properly classified and determine if they are eligible for a lower-rated classification. I also review claims to make sure that the reserves are either closed out on a timely basis, or reduced accordingly to the injured employee’s rehabilitation. There are a lot of moving parts as it pertains to workers’ compensation. However, most agents and business owners have always been told work comp is work comp, and there’s nothing that you can really do about it. Nothing can be further from the truth - it is the one area that business owners actually have direct control over. And that’s where we come in, to help businesses make sure that they are paying the least amount that’s required by law and developing a process for them to control their work comp costs.
