CurrentScott Yarger received his Bachelor of Science degree with High Distinction in Conservation and Resource Studies from University of California, Berkeley, where his studies focused on environmental policy and land management. His interdisciplinary background includes training in ecology, botany, conservation biology and environmental policy. His minor in Forestry and Natural Resources included field studies in forest ecology and management in the Sierra Nevada ecoregion.Scott is an ISA Certified arborist, and prior to joining WRA, he worked for four and a half years as a consulting utility forester contracted to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). He has worked in a wide variety of habitats throughout northern and central California, and his experience includes tree inventory and assessment, biological resource assessment, delineation of waters of the United States, special-status plant surveys, nesting bird surveys, and compliance with State and Federal regulations. Scott has performed surveys for the Federal-threatened California red-legged frog, at riparian work sites in order to comply with California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Streambed Alteration Agreements. He has conducted numerous nesting bird surveys concurrent with arborist work in order to comply with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. He has scoped and implemented numerous protocol-level special-status plant surveys, a preferred .At WRA, Scott’s work includes biological resource assessment, wetland delineation, rare plant surveys, arborist surveys and reports, and environmental compliance and permitting to include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) section 404 permits, Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) section 401 permits, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Biological Assessments, and CDFW 1602 Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreements.- See more at: http://www.wra-ca.com/about/personnel/scott-yarger/#overview
