1) After earning my J.D. in May 2016. From January 2016 through September 2016, I worked with the DA’s office in Hobbs, NM. Additionally, I volunteered my time as a research technician at an on-campus microbiology laboratory, where we researched genetic recombination and the inactivation of catabolic pathways in cyano-bacteria, with the goal being development of alternate means of bioremediation of environmental toxins.4) Work experience with a biomedical laboratory device company focused exclusively on my running viability tests of gene (DNA) fragments in the company’s pre-production department. Sterile techniques, following standard operating procedures, using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) equipment, running gel electrophoresis, and documenting the results for company records are some of skills I employed through this work.
