CurrentSenior technician responsible for building, maintaining and upgrading a fleet of pipeline inspection robots and auxiliary equipment. Mechanical Skills•Thread repair by installation of Heli-coils and keyserts.•Using taps and dyes to clean/repair screw holes and bolts.•Master at stripped screw removal.•Using mechanical drawings or computer software to build/repair broken equipment.•Proficient with a Dremel used for cutting, polishing, and modifying components.•Capable of operating a lathe, drill press, cutting, grinding, and milling machines.Electrical Skills•Crimping, soldering and wiring of equipment up to 28 AWG.•Troubleshooting electronics using a multimeters.•PCB troubleshooting, replacing and basic repairs involving solder re-flowing and fuse replacement. Equipment Maintenance•Mechanical/electrical/ troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of components andassemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances.•Calibration of electrical equipment according to technical manuals.•Pressure testing equipment up to 300 psi.•Generating reports and other technical documents.Shop Maintenance•Organize supplies and workstations to ensure maximum efficiency and orderly workflow.•Order supplies when low.•Setup workstations to have necessary tools at hand to efficiently perform tasks.•Assisted in the relocation of a facility to a different larger warehouse/office in the GTA.•Installation and modifying racking systems for equipment storage.•Setup of a training mock pipeline pig launcher/receiver.Safety and Training•Member of the health and safety committee maintaining MSDS.•Monthly walk around the faculty performing safety inspections in addition to quarterly meetings.•Initial training of new hires with my knowledge and experience as needed during their onboarding.Shipping and Logistics•Assisting the loading and unloading of equipment from trucks.•Checking and preparing equipment for international shipping.
