I am working to align my occupation with my passions. I spent my first 14.5 years out of college working in architecture, focused mainly on K-12 schools. Skills from this part of my career include building design and layout, field investigation, CAD drafting, 3D modeling, graphic design, material selections, construction drawings, project specifications, and project management and administration. I moved to real estate in 2017, where I worked for 5 years with the region's largest firm. Skills included industry-specific technologies, marketing, client relations, listing services and preparation, buyer services, offer/contract writing, negotiation, and transaction administration. Additionally, I was named lead company trainer for Dotloop within 8 months of starting. I transitioned into the classroom to teach middle school social studies in the fall of 2022, and learned all needed skills on the job. These include classroom management, lesson planning, test planning and administration, discussion leading, and more. I am working toward my goal of obtaining a personal finance position at the high school level. I am passionate about teaching kids to understand their finances and make smart money and career decisions. I am currently pursuing an MBA to further aid me in this pursuit.
