After working for a number of different attorneys - learning how, and how NOT to take care of clients and litigation, Scott decided that he could give his clients more personalized and professional representation, with better results, if he went out on his own. Scott A. Adrian was an associate attorney in the litigation department at the Law Offices of Ramin R. Younessi. In this position, Scott assisted in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, meeting with opposing counsel, filing petitions, and preparing trial documents.

At The Law Offices of Richard A. Fisher, Scott A. Adrian handled cases from beginning to end. Scott successfully argued substantive and procedural motions before multiple courts, and achieved favorable results for his clients.

Scott A. Adrian took part in a fellowship with the American Board of Trial Advocates ("ABOTA") wherein Scott A. Adrian was placed with a defense law firm (Knapp, Petersen, & Clarke), a plaintiff law firm (deRubertis Law Firm), and a judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court (The Honorable Yvette Palazuelos). Scott A. Adrian learned so much, and sharpened his skills in trial advocacy, writing, and communication. The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Scott A. Adrian was an advocate on Southwestern Law School's Trial Advocacy Honors Program. As an advocate, Scott A. Adrian competed in regional trial competitions throughout California. In these competitions, advocates represented opposing sides, argued pre-trial motions, gave opening statements, conducted direct and cross examinations, argued evidentiary objections, made motions, and gave closing arguments.

As a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, Scott A. Adrian conducted preliminary hearings, responded to discovery requests, argued objections, and argued motions. In preparing more than 80 cases, Scott A. Adrian actually conducted 7 hearings. Out of 7 preliminary hearings this summer, Scott A. Adrian had all the cases held to answer (Scott A. Adrian won all the hearings).

Scott A. Adrian participated in case research, 'meet and confer' with city employees unions, court observation, and was happy to learn all he could in the attorney's office, as a young college student.

Working in the Speaking Center in ACU's Brown Library, Scott A. Adrian helped students with presentations, speeches, and communication skills. Scott A. Adrian enjoyed watching students learn to forget their fears in public speaking, or at least hide those fears better!In this position, Scott A. Adrian also helped manage a floor of the library.
