Everett Public Schools is one of the largest K-12 school districts in the state of Washington. The district serves a community that is very culturally and economically diverse due to its geographic reach.Managing the capital funded technology projects for the district including 1:1 student computing initiatives and technology infrastructure upgrades and improvements.• Project Management: Built and managed the yearly projects for the district’s 1:1 program, resulting in take-home laptops in the hands of all HS and MS students, upgraded data infrastructure in each school and all support improvements for the addition of these devices.• Vendor Management: Managed the agile delivery of the district’s SharePoint portal by the selected vendor, ensuring a seamless on-boarding process at each stage.• Grant Writing: Applied for and selected into the Sprint 1 Million Project to provide in-home internet access for disadvantaged students, saving the district more than $60k per year.• Vendor Negotiation: Collaborated with selected vendor to design and approve a custom student carry bag to protect devices, which included design improvements each year.

Velocitor is a technology solution provider contracted by Microsoft Consulting Services to aid the NYPD in upgrading their Windows Phone deployment.Managed a small, efficient and high performing project team to design the MDM infrastructure and provisioning process for NYPD Windows 10 Phone deployment using agile methodology.• Project Consulting: Managed a high-impact project as the liaison between Microsoft Consulting and the NYPD, resulting in multiple change requests being approved to the Windows Phone OS.• Executive Communication: Project plans, status and delivery presented directly to Deputy Commissioner for IT of the NYPD, ensuring buy-in from the customer at each stage.

Managed a 7 person team responsible for partner engagement programs and projects for Windows Phone Operations (OSG). I managed the projects and programs with delivery components that involved external partner companies both domestically and internationally, as well as the custom engineering program that delivered automation infrastructure for internal feature teams.• Implemented a formal quarterly budget and project review with director-level feature team leadership for the custom engineering program, ensuring feature teams were meeting their level spend goals while my project teams were on schedule with their deliverables.• Led a cross-team redesign of the in-country test hardware to create a suitcase-sized test automation solution that could be easily deployed to international locations. The ICT Traveler reduced the cost of test hardware by 70% and eliminated over $150k of yearly international travel costs by vendors performing the same tests manually.• Created and implemented a project to redesign offsite labs at external partner locations while maintaining complete test functionality; cutting international travel requirements by 75% and reducing fixed operational costs by approximately $35k per month. • Managed a project to build an experimental Signiant-based data transfer service which allowed easy, on-demand data transfers to/from external partner companies, then partnered with corporate IT to transition the project to a fully supported company-wide service.• Engaged with a cross-company team as the Windows Phone representative to implement Partner Bug Service, which allowed Microsoft and partner company databases to securely sync bug data using a combination of Azure and Signiant.

Managed a 30 person team responsible for the execution of all manual testing for Windows Phone, including managing the vendor relationship for both local and offshore test teams.• Centralized all manual testing for Windows Phone in order to eliminate redundant tests and infrastructure as well as reduce the facilities footprint required by manual testing.• Managed the relationship with the outsourcing vendor agency and restructured their staffing availability to more closely align with the availability of new builds to be tested, allowing manual test execution to be completed and verified up to 4 hours quicker.• Created and implemented a suspended SIM program for live cell lines used in manual testing, which saved the division $10k per month in cell line expenditures.• Coordinated testing between Microsoft and external partners for releases of new board support packages, including travel to partner sites to conduct training for their testers.• Provided release management with test signoff for weekly releases of Windows Phone software to partners.

Managed the hosted services for Windows Phone Operations, negotiated SLAs with stakeholders of all services and ensured the support for these services met the defined SLAs with regard to both problem and change management.• Initiated, planned and delivered a physical to virtual server migration project; retiring a lab full of aging hardware and allowing the lab to be repurposed for new IT Operations deliverables.• Created and maintained the configuration management database for all hosted services.• Managed a cross-functional team to create disaster recovery plans, establish and enforce policies for these plans and conduct regular testing and drills against the plans.
