As one of the leaders on the Strategic Initiatives team, my role at MyEyeDr is focused on the growth of patient-facing digital tools and services for the entire organization as well as building out our website and content strategy to engage with our patients and customers. As the product owner for our appointment scheduler, patient portal, and other digital services, I partner with IT, operations, and other departments to roadmap and guide our patient-first growth strategy.• Launched a UX-revamped appointment scheduler that significantly conversion rates & bookings.

Serving as the organization's first consumer-focused technology leader, my role oversees the strategy and executions of LifeBridge Health's digital consumerism roadmap and digital front door platforms. My portfolio of digital consumer tools & services includes search-to-schedule technologies, touchless registration, Get Well Loops, AI Chatbots, and the LifeBridge Health mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

At the AAMC, my role is at the intersection of digital strategy, product management, and user experience. With my team of product managers, UX designers, and data analysts, I orchestrate the strategy and execution of the roadmaps for several key digital products and services. I consult throughout the entire organization on digital strategy, user experience, and WCAG accessibility, and I also am leading a project to implement an AI-based Chatbot for internal and external use.

As the head of the Product Management and UX organization at Brivo, I led a large agile team of product managers, project managers, technical writers, and user experience designers that oversaw the complete portfolio and ecosystems of dozens of hardware, mobile, and SaaS products & solutions that lead the access control and physical security markets in over 42 countries. I was also a key player in several strategic acquisitions.- Spearheaded the launch of several key products, including a cellular connectivity solution, that achieved growth in overall recurring monthly revenues by more than 6%.- Drove an ongoing Voice of the Customer strategy that better addressed customer needs and grew customer satisfaction by 8%.

Primarily serving a hybrid leadership role in UX and Product, I managed two Agile teams of designers, developers, designers, and content managers in the evolution of two of Strayer Universities’ key student-facing tools: iCampus, the student portal, and Strayer Mobile for iOS & Android. The overarching goals of my position were to design, test, analyze, and oversee the implementation of intuitive features and learning experiences for working adults seeking a degree while increasing retention & completion rates.- Surged the student satisfaction rating of iCampus from 63% in 2015 to 96% in early 2017 through iterative feature design with continuous user feedback.- Oversaw an independent, innovative content strategy that, alone, led to 2% growth in continuation for undergraduate students.- Designed the conversational UI & conversational flow for Strayer’s AI student-facing chat bot, Irving, which is powered by Google’s API.AI- In 105 days, researched, designed, and oversaw the construction of a digital onboarding experience (Admissions Portal) that has resulted in a 31% increase in new student starts QoQ.- Received the first-ever Award for Innovation in Student Service in 2016 for his work in overseeing the design and development of Strayer Mobile for iOS & Android.

I was brought in for this short-term contract to lead the UX & IA strategy in the design of a web-based mobile responsive administration portal & dashboard for the mobile app of a major client in the automotive industry. My deliverables included consumer journey maps, personas, and complex workflow diagrams.• Designed an intuitive wizard experience that allowed administrators to create custom workflows for the dozens of unique products that then were displayed in their mobile app.• Created interactive prototypes, with working data visualizations, for real-time usage & engagement dashboards.

Over the span of 2.5 years, I oversaw the design and UX for a suite of consumer-facing tools used by hundreds of automotive dealerships aimed at making customers feel empowered to make better choices of F&I products during the purchase of a vehicle. I also redesigned and maintained the motorize.com marketing website, and designed several print & digital assets used in advertising and trade shows.- Designed, from the ground up, an interactive F&I product selection system that averaged 32% increased sales for partner dealerships through exceptional user experience and a customer-first mentality.- Reimagined and redesigned motorize.com, which led to tremendous growth in conversions from ~1k per month to over 98,000 average in the first eight months after re-launching.

As the only UX and front-end design resource for the Government Solutions division, I played a significant role in the evolution of the Monster Hiring Suite. Reporting directly to the Director of Product, and within weeks of his onboarding, I had become a prominent player in the direction of the overall product roadmap. • Authored and led the implementation of an extensive UX roadmap to modernize the decade-old Monster Hiring Suite, which resulted in positive reviews from customers and increased sales. • Designed, from soup to nuts, a custom scheduling and reporting system that became a mainstay product of the Monster Hiring Suite and was attributed to a notable increase in sales.• Developed a large library of reusable code snippets and widgets for the Monster Hiring Suite, which measurably decreased development & QA time, leading to efficiency gains in product delivery.

Over the span of more than 7 years, I primary served as the lead front-end UI designer and co-webmaster of SAMHSA.gov, as well as dozens of websites, several Java & ASP-based applications, and the SAMHSA Intranet. The scope of my work at SAMHSA reached millions of Americans annually. Other contracts I worked on with SAIC included HRSA, HHS, AHRQ, and the US Army Blast Injury Research Project.• Authored hundreds of custom graphics, dozens of technical documents & style guides, and tens of thousands of lines of HTML/CSS/Javascript.• Noted as 1 of 3 “Key Personnel” responsible for the successful rebid of the $24 million, 5-year SAMHSA web & application contract in 2006.• Solely designed and coded one of the first iOS apps for HHS, the Mobile Treatment Locator, which launched in late 2009.

Savage Web Design was my freelance website design and consultation company. My work and expertise focused on UX and web design, mobile app design & prototyping, and Section 508/WCAG consultation and remediation.

At CTAC, I worked on two multi-million dollar government contracts; one for the US Department of Health and Human Services and the other for the Department of Energy. On the HHS contract, my duties included serving as the acting webmaster of HHS during the transitional period, maintaining several sub-sites within the HHS.gov domain, assisting in the management of the HHS redesign team, creating graphical user interfaces for several large Oracle 8i web applications/databases, conversion of many large documents (800+ pages) from MS Word/Corel Wordperfect format into Section 508 compliant HTML including the yearly HHS budget allocation, which was over 1000 pages, ensuring all web pages hosted by HHS.gov were Section 508 compliant, and testing PlumTree's content management system. On the DOE contract, I redesigned and maintained the Office of Engineering and Construction Management website.Additionally, I served as the lead website designer for all CTAC corporate projects.

During my tenure at Sallie Mae, I performed tasks in the realm of website design, graphic design, workflow design and management, and project management. My specific duties included serving as the lead developer and designer for all Sallie Mae websites and web properties including salliemae.com, wiredscholar.com, and manageyourloans.com, performing daily maintenance on all Sallie Mae websites, creation of web-based financial calculators, developed new standards and best practices for design and construction of websites, authoring of the SallieMae.com Style Guide, engaging in strategic planning sessions for the marketing and advertising of Sallie Mae products, planning and developing a prototype version of a loan tracking website for handhelds, and creating a mass e-mail marketing campaign using E.piphany.

At Aspen Systems Corporation, I was tasked with the job of maintaining two websites, hivatis.org and actis.org, as well as redesigning both websites and maintaining three corporate ListServs, managed a small team of web developers and designers who's primary tasks were to maintain other project-specific websites. I also served as an interdepartmental liaison for collaborative efforts between web-based projects, and created monthly reports based on website statistics and metrics.

As my first professional role, my duties included co-designing/maintaining weatherbug.com, aws.com, instasports.com, and instacam.com, co-development & coding of the award-winning Weatherbug desktop application which was hailed as "Best of Show" at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in 2000, re-designing and maintaining over 100 WeatherNet websites for NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX television affiliates, regular collaboration with television broadcasters and outside web developers to ensure maximum usability and functionality for all applications and websites, maintaining the corporate intranet portal, designing numerous interactive weather lessons in Flash 4 & HTML for K-12 students, and high-level data interaction with SQL databases for use with dynamic data collection and retrieval.
