I help companies wisely navigate cycles of creation and destruction. Throughout my career, I have stepped joyfully into tough situations to lead people-focused transformation efforts. Now, I'm focused on building a premier learning & development, organizational development and talent acquisition function to help Entergy power life today, and in the future. Trusted by senior executives at several of the nation's largest utilities to deliver results and good counsel, I've had the privilege of playing lead roles managing teams and supporting leaders through some of our darkest hours, including re-engaging employees after a brutal unionization campaign, navigating the turmoil of a rocky $32 billion merger, supporting the aftermath of a high-profile environmental spill, announcing a guilty plea with the Department of Justice, and leading efforts to comply with terms of federal probation. On the bright side, I've had the opportunity to establish and grow talent management, leadership development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, organizational design, training, risk management and change management centers of excellence with enterprise responsibility and impact. We've transformed culture, grown grassroots networks, designed award-winning engagement campaigns, accelerated high-potential talent upwards, and helped capture the hearts and minds of the workforce to deliver world-class performance. In my free time, I serve in various community leadership positions with an emphasis on human rights and the performing arts. I am greatly shaped by having grown up in Chad, Africa, as the son of a missionary doctor. I speak out on behalf of my friends still in that region and raise awareness about the importance of genocide prevention and the protection of human rights around the world. Highlights of this advocacy include being interviewed live on CNN primetime, named a Carl Wilkens Fellow and speaking in front of thousands of college students across the Southeast.
