I was responsible for overseeing the Faith in Youth AmeriCorps program, including, but not limited to, writing grants and reporting for funding sources, managing a team of individuals who are placed at local partner sites providing sustained mentoring for at-risk middle school youth, and collaborating with community organizations aimed at improving social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes for at-risk youth.

I provide comprehensive case management and counseling services for special education students within a K-8 environment, doing so in direct consultation and cooperation with other school staff and family members. I am responsible for assessments and evaluations of students in the qualification process and the development of social and emotional goals and objectives for these students.

I am responsible for maintaining the organization's social networking responsibilities, as well as developing, overseeing, and maintaining a number of mentoring, community service, and academic programs for at risk middle and high school students.

I maintained a caseload of high school students with whom I provided regular follow up and therapy services. I evaluated students to determine special education eligibility. I provided group therapy for students with social and emotional difficulties.

I was responsible for developing and implementing program evaluation tools and providing financial education for groups and individuals interested in improving financial situations, purchasing homes, and starting businesses.

Served as an AmeriCorps member at the Bridge Youth Ministry Center in Zeeland, MI, providing support for mentoring programs. Collaborated with Zeeland Public Schools to provide services to at-risk middle school youth. Oversaw alternative suspension program, after school tutoring and mentoring programs. Served in 2010-2011 year as program representative to state LeaderCorps program, collaborating with others to increase program and service accessibility for people from all backgrounds and abilities.
