We specialize in designing and building some of the most energy efficient houses in Washington State.The science behind building homes has always been an important part of the way we build homes. I've worked with the University of Washington to test cutting edge products and processes that meet (and often exceed) national and regional building codes for the highest energy efficiency possible such as Radiant Heat, Solar, Geo Thermal and Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). I know what works, what’s a waste of time and what gives the best results. My team and I work hard to continually raise our standards to give our customers homes that are so energy efficient people do a double take.For example, Premier's SIP provide are a critical part of our formula for energy efficiency. It only costs an average of $200 to $300 a year to heat one of my homes. That's anywhere from one-fifth to one-sixth the typical costs for this region, so the savings are pretty significant and the homeowners love that.We also have a company (NorthwestEnergyTeam.com) that helps our customers upgrade existing homes--remodel, retrofit, insulate--for a Green and Energy Efficiency upgrade to make them feel new again. We realized about 5 years ago that there were many older homes with the potential to be as competitive with the new homes in the way of efficiency, comfort, lower heating bills and smaller carbon footprints. We love being able to contribute to our community by building beautifully crafted, high-efficiency custom homes to make a big impact for our customers and the environment.When I'm not making the world a better, more comfortable and efficient place one house at a time, I love spending time with my wife Pat gardening, hiking in the mountains, or relaxing with the family and grandkids.
