Part 1:Spent my first 18 years in small town USA (Benton, Kentucky): Humbly and thankfully, spent mornings and nights on our family farm - *2,000 🐷 / 100 🐮 - learning the true definition of 'work'.Part 2:Fortunately, through playing college football, continued growing & learning @ Franklin and Marshall College; surrounded by thoughts & people to shape my philosophy mindset + allowed me to steal admirable attributes ... which I - hopefully - emulate everyday.Part 3:Since, I've been burrowing into New York City's Tech Ecosystem for the last 10 years. Having spent over half the time leading the in-house recruiting for Grand Central Tech, NYC's Flagship Incubator. Integrating my network & myself with the best preseed to Series A startups in that community (which grew from GCT's 1st class of 16 to over 100 when I left). With the the biggest lesson learned there was: great teams > great products - A company's success is predicated on the people who join (*why they join) & the leadership (*their decision making framework and moral compass). - Worked on family owned 1000- acre hog and cattle farm.- Maintained fields, fed and cared for livestock and performed preventative maintenance on all facilities on farm. 24/7/365- Schedule also included loading livestock into three tractor-trailers from 3-5am each week.I woke up at the crack of dawn to help support my family; there is nothing better than being able to do so with hard work and manual labor. I wouldn't trade my experiences I had on the farm for anything in the world. It's extremely humbling to know where you came from and how it molded you into who you are today.
